Belle and Sebastian have announced a reissue campaign in which most of their back catalogue, including studio albums and compilations, will be back in print on vinyl. The campaign is titled “It Could Have Been a Brilliant Career”, after the The Boy With the Arab Strap song.

That includes: 1996’s Tigermilk, 1996’s If You’re Feeling Sinister, 1998’s The Boy With The Arab Strap, 2000’s Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant, 2003’s Dear Catastrophe Waitress (with alternate art), 2005’s Push Barman To Open Old Wounds, 2006’s The Life Pursuit, 2008’s The BBC Sessions, 2010’s Write About Love, and 2013’s The Third Eye Centre.

2002’s Storytelling, the soundtrack to the Todd Solondz film, will not be reissued.

Additionally, the band writes that they’re putting “the finishing touches” on their forthcoming ninth album, which will also be released via Matador. They shared a short clip of them working in the studio, which you can watch below.
